These are pretty thin, so for a really hot pan (like coming from a 450 degree oven) you might need two. When I washed them, some come out pretty lumpy. So, they're not the finest pot holders I've ever owned. But they're soft and not too big, unlike "better" pot holders, so they're easy to use. And I love all the colors. I change out my kitchen linens with the seasons, so I select 2 or 3 colors of these to coordinate. They're inexpensive so if I need to replace them in a couple of years, no big deal.Don't hold anything that's super-hot for long. Your fingers won't like it. But otherwise, it serves its purpose. It is what you would expect for the price and the country of origin (PRC).100% cotton, week made, and durable!!They shrink when washed which was fine. Like the size! I think they will last for awhile!I like these pot holder but I did receive a pretty substantial burn while using one of them. They are thin and can protect you from heat momentarily. One holder won't be able to protect you from a hot pan. Just double them up.I used them to serve an early Thanksgiving dinner for the members of my church.
