Before ordering this item I read through the reviews and some people said the lavender candles had no scent & some said they had a strong scent. I was worried they WOULD have a strong scent (which I didn't want) but I went out on a limb and ordered them anyway.I will say this - they DO have a scent. It's a pleasant scent but I am worried it might be a little much for a wedding. I haven't lit the candles, nor will I until the wedding in September, so I hope that once they are lit they aren't over powering. If you have a sensitivity to fragrances then I might skip these lavender bad-boys. They look beautiful though.The 12 Lavender candles and clear holders arrived today and, sorry to say, I'm not impressed with the scent at all compared to what I have purchased at that Pottery place and that Bath&B place.On the other hand, when one needs a bunch of candles and holders...parties or favors...the price and quality cannot be beat. Personally, I have enough votive holders but I now have extras to fill with a stronger scented candle and gift.I bought these for my parents who have a huge mosquito problem. These candles have a strong smell & burn for quite sometime. They have them set up on their small back deck, but I imagine if you have a larger deck/patio or if using these for a large outdoor event, I would suggest doubling up on this product & maybe investing in some larger citronella candles as well.The candles came when scheduled. They have a nice scent. A little smaller than I imagined and I had too many but all is well.These were perfect for our lakeside/poolside reception. We used them with small centerpieces on high top bar tables around the pool, next to the lake near our back yard, and it really helped keep the biting midges and mosquitos at bay. We still have some left that will come in handy for future pool parties or just for sitting outside and relaxing.I purchased the Lemon candles for a duck themed baby shower and they worked perfectly. They had a nice clean scent without being overpowering. The color was perfect for the theme. Everything was packaged well so nothing arrived damaged. I would recommend purchasing these candles if anyone needs them for parties and such.Very satisfied with these candles. They have a nice citronella scent, but are not overpowering. The candles burn for a long time. Worked great for candles on guest tables at my outdoor wedding reception.I wrote a previous review about receiving the wrong color and within a few days I received the correct candles. I love the candles and I especially love their customer service!
