Background: My kids are watching Star Trek The Next Generation, so I decided to get them communicator badges like those in the show. The ones I bought were great equipped with two pin/clip fasteners - the type with a pin that pokes through your shirt, and little clips that slide onto the end of the pin to hold it in place. I mention this because these items are a bit heavy and need to be oriented correctly to look right. I was worried that the magnets wouldn't be up to the task or the adhesive would be too weak. These magnetic holders worked perfectly. The adhesive stuck quickly and very very firmly (place in correctly the first time - it's not going to want to come off). The magnets are strong and the overall quality is great. My kids are thrilled with their magnetic com-badges and my wife is happy we aren't poking holes in all the shirts anymore. If you're on the fence, I'd definitely say go for it. Quality product at a good price.Oh - one more thing. The metal plate that adheres to the badge was a little too long for my application. I ground it down to size using a belt sander. Probably not relevant for most people, but if you find that you need to resize them, this approach works, and I was able to reduce the length by about 3/8 of an inch and the magnets still grab it just fine.
